Saweetie

Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, known professionally as Saweetie, is an American rapper and actress. She cameos on Peacock's modern-day reinterpretation, Bel-Air.

Biography[]

Born in Santa Clara, California, Saweetie is an African-American woman of Filipino and Chinese heritage, who began writing music at 13 years old and graduated from Monterey Trail High School in Elk Grove. She went on to attend San Diego State University, before transferring to the University of Southern California, where she received her degree and a Bachelor of Arts in communications. Upon her graduation, she began to pursue a rap career, releasing her debut single Icy Grl in 2017, which resulted in her being signed to Artistry Worldwide, a subsidiary of Warner Records. Since then, Saweetie received two nominations for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards and has multiple Billboard Hot 100 hit songs.
