Lamarcus Alton is a recurring character on Peacock's modern-day reinterpretation, Bel-Air. He is portrayed by Justin Cornwell.
Lamarcus is a pro NFL football player and Hilary's ex-boyfriend.
Biography[]
Winning Hilary back[]
Lamarcus arrives at Viv's hospital, where he greets Hilary and introduces himself to Jazz as her ex-boyfriend. They broke up after he was traded to Philly.[1]
Lamarcus is invited to the Banks family reunion by Phil, though Hilary makes sure to inform him that they're not getting back together. They split up initially because she had bigger dreams than just being his arm candy. While true, Lamarcus claims to have matured since then. He reminds Hilary that she reached out to him first. And then he came to the reunion as a favor to her father. Lamarcus claims he has no agenda beyond visiting the family, though he does question why Jazz isn't at the reunion. Later that evening, he reveals to Will that he's not going to stop until he gets Hilary back. He's playing the friend role for now, but once he's back in, he's not letting her go again. A mission he is consistent in and begins by convincing Hilary to dance with him.[2]
Lamarcus wants Hilary
Lamarcus invites Hilary to his new house, which only needs furniture and a woman's touch, he remarks. Hilary recalls his first place in Santa Monica that he bought with his rookie signing bonus. She came because she's looking to get more engagement for her influencer house, and has some football cross promotion ideas. She's created a business strategy and asks Lamarcus to connect her with his marketing people. Without even looking at it, he agrees to her terms. Later, he surprises Hilary with a billboard on Sunset. While he claimed to only want to be friends, as soon as he saw her, there was no question he wanted her back. He refuses to lose Hilary again, and for as long as it takes, he will continue to pursue her. He's now left her speechless twice in one day, leading Hilary to hug Lamarcus, who then takes a photo of Hilary in front of her billboard.[3]
Lamarcus tells Hilary that he wants her
As planned, Lamarcus allows Hilary to host her cross promotion event for her influencer house at his place. He hopes he didn't overwhelm her the other night with his confession, though she insists it was sweet, though she doesn't want Lamarcus to think that she's using him for what he can do for her. Lamarcus never thought Hilary was that kind of girl, but he also doesn't want her to think that he's doing everything he has done just to get at her. He proposes that they simply dedicate the day to having fun. Later that night, once the party has ended, he invites her to join him in the hot tub, but she asks for a rain check. Before she leaves, Lamarcus confesses that he wants Hilary and tells her to take as much time as she needs. Unexpectedly, Hilary returns to the house and kisses Lamarcus, taking him up on his offer in the hot tub.[4]
A trip to Paris[]
After a night together, reveals that his bi-week starts tomorrow and that he would like for the two of them to take a trip to Paris. However, Hilary doesn't want to leave while the house is finally gaining traction. After the amazing night they had, Lamarcus doesn't want to lose touch with Hilary and believes that the trip could be a good way to reconnect. And so, Hilary agrees to at least consider his offer. And after thinking it over, she ultimately agrees to leave with him.[5]
