James "Jimmy" Olatokunbo Akingbola is a British actor. He portrays Geoffrey Thompson on Peacock's modern-day reinterpretation, Bel-Air.
Biography[]
Akingbola is an established actor, who was born in London to parents of the Yoruba tribe who had emigrated from Nigeria. In 1996, he started at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wandsworth, London, where he received a 3-year, full-time acting diploma. He is best known as Antoine Malick in Holby City and Baron Reiter in Arrow. He's also featured in the first season of Kate & Koji, the 2020 six-part comedy series from ITV, alongside Brenda Blethyn, before his role of Koji was recast, as filming for the second season clashed with the filming of Bel-Air. In 2021, he played DC Steve Bradhsaw in ITV Drama The Tower.
